I rise high above the valley, I never reveal everything.
Even my shadow keeps a secret.
Stay as long as you like. Up here, time melts faster. — Angela

Cervo is limited edition fine art photography by Angela Boiler, printed on acrylic. Taken in a sauna high in the mountains, the work belongs to the artist’s ongoing practice of staged self-portraiture, in which she is at once author, model and character. The figure appears only in silhouette, set against a legendary peack framed by the window, within a rigorous composition of verticals and diagonals. A nod to 007 hangs in the air: an encounter about to happen, or a mission of her own? Nothing is fully disclosed, and the meaning is left to the viewer’s imagination. An original artwork and a collectible piece of contemporary art, Cervo reflects the artist’s interest in iconic settings, which she reclaims as stages for her own mythology.
